HVACR Group is delivering a coordinated upgrade at BP Caboolture Southbound. The scope brings refrigeration, cold-room construction, kitchen exhaust and HVAC modifications together as one project rather than separate trade packages.

The cold-room scope includes construction of the insulated rooms themselves as well as supply and installation of the refrigeration systems, controls and associated equipment.
Insert coolroom refrigeration system
The new Insert coolroom refrigeration system is rated at 7.6kW at -5°C SST and 38°C ambient, with a stated product load of 700kg of general goods from 24°C down to 2°C in 24 hours.
- 3-phase ACPAC hermetic packaged condensing unit on the existing plant deck
- Maximum 15m pipe run from evaporator
- 1 × Mint evaporator and mechanical TX valve
- Carel electronic controller
- Drier, sight glass, dual-pressure safety, solenoid and oil separator
- R448A refrigerant
- Dry nitrogen pressure testing and nitrogen purge while welding
- Electrical panel at the room front with RCBOs, controller and labelling
- 2 × 4ft LED lights wired from circuit provided by others
Wild Bean coolroom refrigeration system
The Wild Bean coolroom refrigeration system is rated at 2.8kW at -5°C SST and 38°C ambient, with a stated product load of 2500kg of general goods from 24°C down to 2°C in 24 hours.
- 1-phase ACPAC hermetic packaged condensing unit on the existing plant deck
- Maximum 15m pipe run from evaporator
- 1 × Mint evaporator and mechanical TX valve
- Existing Carel controller and electrical panel reused
- Drier, sight glass, dual-pressure safety, solenoid and oil separator
- R448A refrigerant
- Dry nitrogen pressure testing and purge during welding
- 1 × 2ft LED light wired from existing circuit
Cool-room demolition and insulated-panel works
The existing Wild Bean coolroom is being demolished and replaced as part of the works. New construction uses 100mm Permaguard Colorbond CRP panels with fire-retardant EPS-FR core.
| Insert coolroom | 5780mm W × 2400mm D × 2650mm H external; four walls and ceiling; 1000mm × 2000mm heated sliding door; perimeter heater; existing concrete slab prepared for epoxy coat or MasterTop sealer; 4-door and 3-door inserts. |

| Wild Bean coolroom | 2290mm W × 2700mm D × 2800mm H external; three walls and ceiling; 1000mm × 2000mm heated sliding door; perimeter heater; existing concrete slab prepared for epoxy coat or MasterTop sealer. |
Glass-door inserts
The Insert coolroom includes one new Gannon four-door double-glazed heated insert and one new Gannon three-door double-glazed heated insert, with seven-tier shelving and LED lighting as standard.
Wild Bean kitchen exhaust
The ventilation scope includes a new Halton KVF kitchen exhaust hood, 3150mm L × 1500mm W × 650mm H, together with replacement ductwork, replacement exhaust fan, new make-up air fan and ductwork, a speed controller for balancing, and relocation/reinstallation of the dishwasher hood.
Air-conditioning modifications
HVAC works include relocating return-air grilles above the new Insert coolroom to the rake ceiling, relocating three supply-air grilles from the existing lounge to the new void space, relocating two supply-air grilles in the Wild Bean back-of-house kitchen, and cleaning all reused supply and return-air grilles.
Why the integrated scope matters
The project interfaces between refrigeration plant, insulated-room construction, display inserts, exhaust ventilation, electrical supply points and existing HVAC distribution. Delivering the works as one coordinated package reduces trade handoffs and gives the client one point of accountability for the combined outcome.
ONGOING ASSET SUPPORT
Project delivery backed by ongoing maintenance.
After installation, HVACR Group can support the equipment throughout its operating life through dedicated maintenance technicians, preventative maintenance, condition reporting and timely repairs designed to protect performance and extend asset life.
